Open-air graduation pavilion "Druskupis"

This is the only graduation tower in Lithuania, where visitors can enjoy particularly healthy air with a "sea effect". Residents and guests of the resort have the opportunity to try open-air inhalation, enhance their health, and harden their bodies with the new tourist site which provides light therapy. With its original architecture, the open graduation tower/pavilion "Druskupis" that was built by the Eglė Medical SPA in Central Park boasts a mineral water fountain and a salt gallery. Mineral water flows down the tower, evaporating naturally from the impact of sun and wind. Healthy ‘sea’ air enriched with minerals can then be inhaled in the tower itself and within a 50-80 metre radius of it. Air enriched with drops of mineral water has the same effect as breathing sea air. Mineral water is supplied to the graduation tower "Druskupis" from the Rūta mineral water well. The sea air that the evaporator emits allows the rehabilitation procedures carried out at Birštonas’ health resorts to be fully coordinated with wellness through natural factors, which will enhance the effects of treatment and permit patients to more quickly regain their working capacity. Breathing air saturated with salts is not only beneficial for people with various respiratory diseases – it also has a positive effect on the skin, which becomes smoother, brighter and more elastic from the mineral water. The meditation of watching the rippling water also calms the nerves and improves one’s sense of well-being.
