Tomb and chapel of monk Ambrozijus Jurgis Pabrėža

Jurgis Ambrozijus Pabrėža (1771–1849) franciscan monk, scientist botanist, folk healer is buried in the old cemetery of Kretinga parish.
Parish vicar built a neo-gothic style brick chapel on his grave in 1933. Chapel for a long time been handled only by non-professional restorers. Professional restorers strengthened the cracked wall, restored Blessed Virgin Mary painting, renewed an angel sculpture, cleaned the moss from sculptures in 2013 autumn.
