St. Clara monastery – it is the first and the only convent of this congregation not only in Lithuania, but in the Baltic States as well. Deep devotion and a contemplative way of living are typical of the St. Clara's sisters: their daily round is full of prayer from the early morning till the late night. St. Clara's sisters live from their work and God's grace, which is expressed through benefactors. They communicate with people through prayer and psalms. They can leave the convent only for the most important matter: when they need to pay taxes, visit a doctor or other. Even when their relatives visit them, they communicate in a special room – a parlor, observing the rule of enclosure, i.e. through a partition wall.
