Kartena Blessed Virgin Mary Assumption Church

The first church was built by Mikalojus Sapiega in 1634. Later here stood few other churches that burned.
The present church was built in 1875. It is the only wooden neo-baroque sacral building in Kretinga district. The church is decorated with an artistic pulpit with sculptures of evangelists while on the balcony of the choir stands late Baroque - classicist style organs created in 1774.
